What Do You Guys Think

Has anyone else heard the noise that the Kia Rio has been making in the auto market lately?  I’ve been doing some work with Kia recently and there has been a lot of talk about the JD power award that they recently won.  It’s kind of a surprise to because I like Kia cars but its not something that you would expect from them.  It is however, awesome to see a car company working hard on improving the quality of their cars for once.  Has anyone else heard anything about this?  

I generally take the JDP results with a grain of salt. Just because a car does well in a survey does not mean it is a good car. These are sent in by people that bought the cars. Do I really consider the average Kia owner to be an automotive expert or even to have the same wants and needs in a car that I do? I have a feeling the most Kia owners are thrilled with a car if it starts everyday and has a cupholder.

With thas said, my experience with Kia has been less than stellar. I can't believe anyone but rental companies buy the things. For the money, there are several better alternatives especially for enthusiasts. Thats just my opinion...  

another source, CR, has roundly shown that both hyundia and kia still have a ways to go to satisfy consumers.  

agrreed again, although kia i guess is steppin up...hyundai is still better for tuning, looks and quality but then again I most likely wouldnt buy either b/c for the money I could buy something else. Not to mention Im really big on taking odd ball cars and makin em nice but Kia, and Hyundai is just way to much headache and strife then waht its worth
