Abandoned Rolls Royce ends up in junk yard

A luxury Rolls Royce has become an unlikely addition to a city centre wrecker's yard after it was abandoned in a car park.

The 1984 Silver Spirit was towed away by Birmingham City Council after it was found dumped in a car park below a block of flats.

The council has unsuccessfully tried to trace its owner through the DVLA and police following the discovery three months ago.

If the owners cannot be traced, the car could be auctioned off for charity.

A spokesman from the City Council said: "We've never had anything like this left before.

"We are conscious that we need to find the owners. If no one comes forward by April 30, there is a possibility that we will auction it off with the money going to charity."

Anyone who can help trace the owner is asked to contact Birmingham City Council.
