ANAHEIM – A woman was hospitalized after she was ejected during a traffic accident and may have been run over by her own car Thursday morning.

The woman was driving north on Harbor about 11:30 p.m. when her car struck a white pickup turning left on to North La Palma, Sgt. Rick Martinez said. The car went out of control.

"As the car was spinning, she was may have been run over by her own car," Martinez said. "She was injured, but we're still trying to figure out what happened."

The woman was rushed to a local hospital with major injuries, he said.

The driver of the pickup was not cited.
