1988 BMW (E-28) M-5 Canadian ?

I joined the CCCA club of New Jersey and posted the car just to show what I have.
I had two responses to that it was very rare and maybe one of the canadian imports. Maybe one of ten. What makes it rare is the black interior and the heated seats. Does anyone have any input?
