I just recently replaced the gasket seals of the transmission pan of the underbody of my 1993 AT BMW 318i and am now leaking transmission fluid. I didn't have this problem until this past Friday. In regards to the changing of the gasket, I did it about a couple months ago. My car has 223,500+/-miles on it.
Any guesses on where the problem lies ( I do know it's leaking from the core transmission) as in if it's a crack or a seal? And should I replace the whole transmission or have my mechanic replace parts as necessary? Also, any one know what the estimated price range could be for fixing the problem?
