Europe only car. It was produced in the late 80s or very early nineties by one of VAG's tuners. It was a mid-engined sports car with the Golf GTI engine stuffed into it's high and truncated rear.
It's most notable features were a hardtop that pivoted and dropped down behind the seats without needing to fold (The rear of the car was high enough and the top short enough that it disappeared into the bodywork) and it had headlight "flaps" that dropped flat in front of the lights to expose them when they turned on.
Anybody got a name? I can see the car from it's appearance in the magazine, but I cannot remember who built it or it's name
